Abstract

The Health Board recognise that there is a risk of injury to NHS staff working in the community from members of the public, which are increased due to their remoteness. An important control measure in managing this risk is that relevant NHS Staff are issued with a Lone Worker Alert System. This being a discreet communication device monitored by a 24hr service centre which offers speedy recourse to the victim for locating and assistance, if necessary from the emergency services.
