Abstract

NWSSP Procurement Services (Hosted by Velindre NHS Trust) on behalf of Cardiff & Vale University Health Board are seeking a contract for Programmes to improve health through increasing physical activity and healthy eating in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking proposals to increase opportunities for physical activity and enable healthy eating in ways that will improve the health of the population. The Health Board is particularly keen to attract proposals that demonstrate innovative approaches that complement the range of activities already undertaken by statutory and non-statutory bodies within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The awarded bidder will: a) Take a collaborative approach to delivery, as part of the wider whole system approach to healthy weight in Cardiff and Vale (Move More, Eat Well) working closely with Housing Association and Local Authority partners. b) Work in partnership with communities to respond to their needs and identify specific programmes suitable for them c) Put into place activities aimed at increasing physical activity and healthy eating within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan d) Ensure that the programme can complete its specified activities within the initial contract period e) Gather and report agreed key performance indicators for the programme over the initial contract period f) Ensure that activities can be extended over a longer period should funding be available and agreed.

Total quantity or scope of tender

Funding of £40,000.00 to increase opportunities for physical activity and enable healthy eating in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan has been secured until the 31st March 2025, with the possibility of further funding for up to three years. Therefore, the duration of this contract will be from award until the 31st March 2025 with an option to extend annually for up to three years dependent on the funding provision.

1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering

process and not award any contract.

2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in

the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate

the terms.

3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date.

4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.

5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.
