The HCA is proposing to undertake the construction of highways and infrastructure works at our Northstowe site, 10 km North West of Cambridge. See section II.2.4 for further details. The scope of works includes, but is not limited to the following:
—Demolition/ remediation: including disused sewage treatment works, and treatment of localised/discrete contaminated ground;
—Southern Access Road West (SARW): 2.1km single carriageway access road, including associated drainage, structures, and side roads;
—Off-site link road: 1.5km single carriageway off-site link road;
—Phase 2 on-site road: 0.65km on-site road, including associated drainage and utilities;
—Phase 2 school access road: 0.6km school access road from existing Phase 1 development;
—Strategic drainage attenuation ponds: including bulk earthworks (approx. 200 000 m³);
—Utilities: laying of gas, water, foul, electricity and telecommunications.
—School plot: provision of fully serviced, level school plot for development by others.

All discussions, meetings and communications will be conducted in English. The contract will be subject to English law. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in GBP and all payments under the contract will be made in GBP.
This procurement and award is subject to the transparency arrangements being adopted by the UK Government. These arrangements include the publication of tender documentation issued by the HCA and the contract between the HCA and supplier.
