Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
The Carmarthenshire County Council Extra Care Catering service is being re-advertised due to there being additional key questions relating to the Financial Assessments and Health & Safety requirements. Please note that the current documents will differ from those previously placed on Sell2Wales which closed on 2nd October, 2015.
The contract to provide a healthy and nutritious catering service 365 days per annum to up to 240 customers including extra care residents and their guests, meals on wheels services and lunch clubs within two new extra care schemes at Cartref Cynnes, Johnstown, Carmarthen and at Ty Dyffryn Ammanford. Both licensed restaurants will also be fully open to any other users, particularly from the local community, families and friends of tenants and other similar occasional customers.
The contract shall be for 3 years (with the possibility of an extension for a further period of up to 2 years depending on available budget, satisfactory performance etc and subject to agreement by all parties).
Carmarthenshire County Council are holding an open day event at Cartref Cynnes, Johnstown on Tuesday 17th November 2015, between 10am and 2pm. The event will give potential bidders an opportunity to view the premises and kitchen facilities prior to the closing date and return of tender submissions. Attendance is via prior arrangement only.
