University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is one of the most complex NHS trusts in the UK, serving a large and diverse population. In July 2004, it was 1 of the first NHS trusts to achieve Foundation Trust status. The Trust is committed to delivering top-quality patient care, excellent education and world class research.
UCLH has a turnover of over 900 000 000 GBP p.a. and contracts to provide services with over 70 primary care trust commissioning bodies. It sees over 1 000 000 outpatients and admits over 170 000 patients each year. The Trust works with the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London South Bank and City universities to offer high-quality training and education.
Services on a day to day basis are delivered through 3 clinical boards each led by an operational Medical Director. This fully devolved clinically led model has been in place for around 15 years.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large acute Trust located in London, UK. The Trust currently uses approximately 77 GWh of electricity per year.
The Trust is looking to appoint a supplier to work with over the coming years enabling the control of the commodity price exposure through a flexible procurement solution. It is envisaged that this will comprise a 36-month contract with an option to extend by 6 months maximum of 2 times — this option will be at the sole discretion of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Only suppliers holding the relevant Ofgem supply licenses will be eligible for receipt of the tender documentation, copies may be required as evidence of eligibility prior to documentation being sent out.
