On behalf of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham Borough Council is seeking to commission a suitably experienced and competent Design and build contractor to carry out a single stage design and construction project with two phases at Furze Platt Senior school. The first phase is the design and construction of a new three storey teaching block for science and mathematics, including demolitions of a single storey science block and modular classrooms. The second phase of the project is the demolition of the existing gymnasium and another modular classroom block, followed by the construction of a new hall extension. Phase 2 cannot be started until Phase 1 is completed.

The tender process will be single stage, fixed price JCT 2016 Design and Build contract. A maximum of 6 contractors will be invited to tender; these will be selected based on the PQQ submission.

Shared building services is a shared service for Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM), which is managed and hosted by WBC. This contract opportunity is for a school expansion project in RBWM and the contract will be let between RBWM and the chosen main contractor. The procurement process for this Contract is run by WBC on behalf of RBWM.
