Abstract

Scope of requirements – Brief The project requires a trainer to deliver training courses to high calibre people on D&I, Board Governance and Applying for Public Board Appointments. We are looking for a trainer to support us in delivering training content to leaders in Wales who are on a journey to become Wales’ next top Public Board Members. The following training programmes have been designed following the Ministerial objective to, ‘Increase diversity on public body boards’: • The Near Ready Leadership • Public Leaders of the Future The service is required to start from the end of August 2023 until February 2024, with all material readily developed. They are aligned with the strategy set out in ‘Reflecting and Running Wales – Diversity & Inclusion Strategy for Public Appointments in Wales’. Key Deliverables: The supplier will be confident in liaising directly with learners virtually and training them on all aspects of developing skills to be a Board Member. Including topics on how an effective board operates, Board life including leadership, diversity and inclusion, governance and risk, challenging and influence, legislation and workplace practice. Service suppliers would ideally have a practical understanding of the Equality Act 2010, with experience of implementing equality, diversity and inclusion best practice. Service suppliers will ideally have Board experience and be confident to review all existing content and course material and make recommendations
