The National Botanic Garden of Wales wishes to engage an external HR advisory service to support the internal HR Manager at the Garden.

The Garden wishes to invite tenders for the provision of HR support services, to provide Employment Law & HR Advice, Consultancy and Training to the senior management team and the in-house HR Manager.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales has a staff headcount of 108 employees (80 FTE), including full time, part time and casual staff, on permanent and fixed term contracts. A subsidiary trading company, Middleton Garden Ltd., currently has no direct employees, but this may change. The HR support service is to be provided to both existing companies, and any further group companies that might be established.

The Garden’s objectives for this tender process are to:

• Secure a high quality provider with extensive experience, preferably in the Third Sector;

• Appoint a supplier who will provide high standards of professional service;

• Appoint a supplier who will provide excellent value for money;

• Appoint a supplier who will be able to provide all services in both Welsh and English.
