Specification for a 30x30 assessment of the Vale of Glamorgan’s Council land and a countywide assess

Description of the goods or services required
The Vale of Glamorgan Council requires an assessment of its land holdings to determine the extent to which they are currently being managed effectively for biodiversity and the scale of the opportunity to change management to meet the 30% target by 2030. Additionally, working in collaboration with the Vale Nature Partnership, it also wishes to assess how much of the land, coastal and marine area is currently being managed effectively for biodiversity and the scale of the opportunity to change management and land use to meet the 30% target by 2030. A realistic assessment of habitat expansion is required for the Vale Nature Recovery Action Plan.

Experience and expertise in GIS, collation of multiple data sources, evidence of collaborative working, evidence of being able to deliver to agreed milestones, knowledge of biodiversity policy and land management, partnership working and experience of working with local government in Wales.
