Abstract
The authority is currently in the process of preparing a Local Development Plan to replace the existing Unitary Development Plan. In order to ensure that there is adequate evidence to feed into the process an assessment of all open spaces across the authority is required.
We are seeking to appoint consultants to produce an Open Space Audit and Assessment of Need and to recommend a strategy for incorporation in the Local Development Plan which is in line with Planning Policy Wales and Technical Advice Note (TAN) 16: Sport, Recreation and Open Space. This will involve the review, amalgamation and update of existing studies ensuring consistency and alignment, together with any necessary public consultation.
