The University requests tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified contractors in order to establish a framework contract for the provision of building works. The objectives is to secure value for money; Streamline the procurement process; Promote a long-term partnership with contractors; Reduce tendering and bidding costs; Eliminate risk of Modern Day Slavery within the supply chain. The estimated value is £18,000,000 over the maximum four (4) years framework duration. The Framework will be established for an initial period of two (2) years(s) with an option to extend for a further periods of one (1) year up to a total of four (4) year(s) in total.

In accordance with Regulation 86 and 87 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, thecontracting authority has incorporated a minimum 10 calendar days standstill period startingfrom the day when contract award was notified to the bidders. Unsuccessful bidders will beprovided with a debrief in the award decision at the start of the standstill period includingdetails of their bid in relation to the winning bid comprising the reasons for the decision, thecharacteristics and relative advantages of the successful tender, the score of the economicoperator and the name of the economic operator to be awarded the contract. Tenderers havea right to appeal provided for within the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Any suchproceedings must be brought in the High Court of England and Wales.
