This procurement is for the provision of a medical appraisal and revalidation system to be deployed within North Bristol NHS Trust, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust.

Each organisation will require a separate instance of the medical appraisal and revalidation system.

The system is required to provide the following high-level functionalities:

— a portfolio for doctors to be able to upload supporting information and reflections in order prepare for their annual appraisal,

— a portfolio for appraisers to be able to review all necessary information provided by their appraisees and complete appropriate appraisal outputs,

— the ability for a system administrator to run a wide range of reports from the system and provide a high level of support to the systems users,

— the ability for a responsible officer and revalidation lead to monitor appraisal compliance and review all necessary information within a doctor’s portfolio for the purposes of making a revalidation recommendation.

The solution offered must be market ready, available “off the shelf” and already proven to have been deployed at other customer sites.
