Abstract

Contact Activity provisions were introduced into private law – where divorced/separated parents are in dispute over arrangements concerning their child - through The Children & Adoption Act 2006 in December 2008. These provisions are designed to promote, encourage and ensure that children are able to maintain a relationship with both parents in a post-separation context. The Child Arrangements Programme - 2014 (CAP) applies where a dispute arises between separated parents and/or families about arrangements concerning children. The CAP is designed to assist families to reach safe and child-focused agreements for their child, where possible out of the court setting. If parents / families are unable to reach agreement, and a court application is made, the CAP encourages swift resolution of the dispute through the court. CAFCASS Cymru have developed a modular programme Working Together for Children(WT4C), that seeks to affect the way that parents think and therefore behave in relation to contact following a relationship breakdown, in order that contact is a positive experience for the child. The Welsh Government are seeking to establish a framework agreement for regional delivery of the WT4C programme in response to referrals from CAFCASS Cymru when ordered to do so by the court. The Welsh Government, on behalf of the Welsh Ministers, will be conducting this procurement exercise through the etenderwales portal https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk Tender documents and other information must be downloaded from and returned through this portal. If you require any further assistance the BravoSolution helpdesk is available on: Email: help@bravosolution.co.uk Phone: 0800 368 4852 Full information in accessing the portal is found in Section VI.3.
