Abstract

Newport City Council invites bids for a autism specific supported living service at the Long Barn, Caerphilly. The service will provide highly specialised support to tenants with complex needs and individual patterns of behaviour relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The objective is to enable the tenants to live independently in their own homes and to engage in the community. The application of the principles and practices of TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) is integral to the effective delivery of this service and suppliers who wish to bid must be able to demonstrate they are able to meet this requirement. It should be noted that the Council believes that TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment)) applies to this procurement. The contract for this service will commence on 1 April 2016 for a five year period with an option to extend for two, year upon year. For the avoidance of doubt this procurement falls under the Light Touch Regime and as such is governed by Regualtions 74 - 77. CPV: 85000000, 85311000, 85310000.

Although the notice has been published on sell2wales it is yet to appear in TED, the European Union Procurement Journal, and until I have been notified it has I cannot issue the tender documents on etenderwales in accordance with Public Procurement Regulations 2015.
