Abstract

The Health and Care Research Wales Support & Delivery Infrastructure has been established to facilitate the efficient and effective set up, management and delivery of research in NHS Wales. The Support & Delivery Infrastructure consists of the 7 Health Boards, 3 NHS Trusts, the Health and Care Research Wales Support Centre, and the Health and Care Research Wales Workforce. This group of organisation is expected to work collaboratively to ensure that Wales is a prime destination for the conduct and delivery of health and social care research. The Requirement To enable the Support & Delivery Infrastructure to manage research setup and delivery effectively, Health and Care Research Wales intends to commission a coordinated national approach to the IT management systems required to underpin this work.
