This is a Framework agreement open to all Police Forces in the United Kingdom. There is no guarantee of the volume of items that will be disposed of or re-marketed via the Contract from any of the participating Police Forces. The Contract covers the disposal of devices that hold data, including destruction, secure recycling or suitable re-marketing of devices including, but not limited to, mobile phones, lap tops, cameras, tablets, removable media technology and other IT personal data storage devices. This Contract is a framework agreement and shall be available for use by all other Police Forces in the United Kingdom.

The Contract shall be divided into two Lots

Lot 1 - On site destruction

Lot 2 - Data erasure and re-marketing

LOT 1 - The Contractor shall be CPNI CAST approved. The services under this Lot cannot be subcontracted

LOT 2 - The Contractor shall be BS EN 15713 Accredited.

The erasure / wiping process cannot be subcontracted under this Lot.

Under Lot 1 only one Contractor shall be awarded the Contract and each participating Police Force shall contract with the Contractor under the terms of the Contract.

Lot 2 shall be awarded to a maximum of three Contractors (dependent upon successful Tenders) based on the Tender Evaluation Criteria. These shall be the top three suppliers with the highest overall scores.

Short Description

The Contractor shall provide a facility for the destruction of Devices at the Premises.

The Contractor shall be a CPNI CAST approved supplier.

Information About Lots

2     Data Erasure and Re-marketing

1)

Short Description

The Contractor shall provide an off-site facility to securely erase all data (included, but not limited to, personal and sensitive personal data as defined in the DPA) held on Devices prior to the disposal or re-marketing of the Devices . The service shall included but not be limited to the following:

- the removal, deletion and destruction of telephone numbers and/or pictures and/or video clips from within the memory so as to ensure there is no traceability of ownership;

- the removal and destruction of SIM cards and/or memory of any personal data storage;

- the removal of all personal details inside or outside of the cover of devices, including stickers, etchings, badges etc., to ensure there is no traceability of ownership.

The Contractor shall be BS EN 15713 Accredited.
