Abstract

Swansea University requires 400 PCs for supply/installation to its new Science & Innovation Bay Campus. The contract will include an option to provide up to a further 250 PCs should relevant funding be secured by the University. The PCs will be an 'All In One' (touch) design. As the new Bay Campus has a Science and Innovation ethos, the PCs proposed should have a strong visual impact and appeal, as well as the practicality and robustness required in high utilisation, 24 hour accessible student areas. Therefore the solution will require a clutter free screen – with minimal buttons, no ports or sockets on the front bezel. Multi-touch screen interface is critical due to the visual nature of core engineering applications, and also to meet the demand for PCs that are fit for purpose in an innovation lead environment. Further details of the minimum specification can be found in the tender documents. CPV: 30213300.
