Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
This Tender relates to the provision of counselling services for young people (upto the age of 25 years) both in education and those no longer in education within Rhondda Cynon Taf. Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking to commission two services and this Tender consists of two lots:
Lot 1 – Provision of a School Based Counselling Service (including Community Bases)
Lot 2 – Provision of an Online Counselling Service
The contract is for a period of 3 years (subject to funding) from 1st September 2015 with an option to extend for a further period of 1 plus 1 years. The contract will be reviewed annually and funding levels may be subject to change due to budget cuts. Information About Lots

School Based Counselling |
1)
|
Short Description
Counselling will be available to all pupils attending Secondary Schools in RCT (including Pupil Referral Unit, Special Schools and Education Otherwise than at school (including home tuition).
Year 6 primary School children will also be supported as part of the contract.
Young people (up to the age of 25) will be supported through the provision of three community bases (Rhondda, Cynon and Taf Ely). These bases will provide counselling during the evening, as an out of school provision and during school term time and holiday periods.

Online Counselling |
1)

Short Description
Lot 2 relates to the provision of an Online Counselling Service for children and young people aged between eleven and twenty-five years old in the Rhondda Cynon Taf Local Authority area. The service should be available 24hours to all children and young people, both in and out of education, to access at a time convenient to them. The Service Provider must provide access to a secure and confidential website with a multi function facility to allow service users a choice in how they communicate with Counsellors and other service users.
