Description

Willmott Dixon is a privately owned construction and fit-out specialist, employing circa 3200 people, with turnover of over £3.2bn and our work has an important impact on the lives of many people. It’s this ability to make society a better place to live, that inspires everything we do for our customers and partners.

The company is led by Rick Willmott, Group Chief Executive and he being the fifth generation of family at the helm of the business. Willmott Dixon Holdings Limited comprises key individuals with significant business expertise that steer the Willmott Dixon Group of businesses. Great emphasis is involved in attracting and maintaining a talented team of people, to manage and run our successful company.

The business operates within the following divisions:

Willmott Dixon Construction operates from six strategically located office locations within the UK. These local construction offices (LCOs) have a network of satellite offices that in all, currently deliver in excess of 100 completed projects each year, with a spread of customers from the Scottish borders to the further reaches of the south-west peninsula. Our LCOs and satellites are just that: they seek to locate in the heart of their regions with a very clear intention to embed and sustain; it’s why we target that 75% of a project spend should be procured within a 40 mile radius.

Residential construction has most recently (July 2017) been merged within its construction business, which will greatly assist upon its mixed-work frameworks, that we are successfully engaged.

A specialist residential builder since 1970’s, we create annually some 2,000 homes each year, for all types of tenure: affordable, care residential, retirement villages, housing for sale and private rent, plus student accommodation. Our homes come in all shapes, sizes and scale, from standalone retirement / specialist care homes to multi-phase estate regeneration to create a new ‘destination’ for communities. We are equally adept in delivering programmes of garage sites to make even the smallest of schemes deliverable.

We also combine our construction skills with expertise in residential development to offer our clients and all-encompassing development management service which incorporates not only design and build services but also asset review, sales and marketing, financial modelling, project governance and long term aftercare to provide a cradle to grave offering.

Turnover of this business construction business is just shy of £800m, with a clear drive under its Chief Operating Officer John Waterman to deliver a forecasted growth of £1bn by 2020.
John’s “Building on Better” Construction Strategy focuses an initiative which promotes an organisational behavioural change by bringing true focus to customers, people, product and the legacy we leave in the built environment.

Be Living (“Be”): Is a specialist in delivering homes specifically for the private rented sector with a focus on Greater London and the South East. The business already benefits from a pre-assembled and well positioned land bank of over 7500 units, which in itself provides a valuable platform of development volume extending to 2022.

Unlike conventional residential developers we let, manage and maintain the completed apartments once they are constructed, to create a high quality environment specifically tailored to its private rented community.

This means a great place to live that is designed for renters, an on-site landlord that cares, and a business that makes life easier with fair and transparent terms and flexible tenancies. It was primarily established following extensive market research and is aimed at young professional renters, offering a convenient alternative to home ownership with a range of added-value services.

It has the ability to deliver blue-chip business rollout schemes and complex refurbishments within the industries trading sectors. Combining state of the art technology, with the latest materials, fixtures and finishes enable us to create, clean and efficient working spaces.

Fortem is a business that maintains and repairs homes across the United Kingdom using innovative technology and systems. It undertakes over 400,000 responsive repairs each years on a 24/7 basis, using our 1400 strong directly employed workforce.

One of our customers being Orbit Heart of England, where we maintain over 16,000 homes in central England, from their Stratford upon Avon office. A key quality of this business being to provide a high level of service, caring for their tenants homes and significantly improving their quality of live.
