The Local Government Data Unit ~ Wales (trading as Data Cymru) was established in 2001 as a not-for-profit company wholly owned by local government in Wales. We offer a range of specialist data, statistical and research services designed to help you find and use data effectively. For example:
- Help to source, collect, or collate data
- Data analysis
- Effective data presentation
- Advice on the best ways to undertake research, including evaluation
- Help to find out what citizens, service users / customers think
- Providing cost-effective access to a range of commercial data sets.
We maintain a highly skilled, committed and flexible workforce that has a proven track record of delivering. We ensure that the skills of our workforce are up to date and remain relevant for the needs of the organisation and our clients.
Our work is concentrated in local government and the public sector in Wales, although we have also gained experience working outside these boundaries. We are based in Cardiff, although our work takes us to all parts of Wales, and also across the border.
